Hunting May 2010

Brett Hoagland Group, WY

We started hunting season on the 2nd of May 2010 and had hunters from Montana, Wyoming, Arizona and Massachusetts.

Brett Hoagland(Glendive), Graig Barthel(Billings), John Barthel(Glendive),Mike Barthel(Havre), Randy Stroh(Phoenix), Greg Stroh(Glendive), Chad Shipman(Glendive) arrived on the 2nd of May.

Firstly we want to thank Brett for getting this group together. Thanks Leanne for helping Brett, and we looking forward having you with Brett and the other boys back with us in the near future.

The trophies that you guys took home were great!

The memories you left behind we will remember for a very long time to come. It is good to know that with every client, a new friendship is built halfway around the world. Without friendships like this our business would not be possible. It was great visiting with you guys and getting to know you better, a real fun group. Thank you all very much.

Kurt Lyman from Casper, WY

Never say never. When we sold this hunt to Kurt and the other guys that was hunting in May, we told them that May was the best month to hunt. No wind, and perfect weather. We had some of the windiest days experienced in May ever! By saying this, never trust the weather man!

Kurt arrived in Port Elizabeth on the 4th of May, as a stricly bow hunter. We had a terrible first 5 days of hunting, shooting nothing because of the wind. We couldnt get close to any animals, and they did not come into the waterholes at all. What made it even more difficult was that we had good rains and there was water all over the place, which is very good for the animals. As soon as the wind died down, our luck changed. In the next 3 days Kurt managed to bag a very nice Gemsbuck, Nyala, Kudu and an exceptional Eland. Kurt was an example of what patience should be like. Thanks Kurt, had a great time, see you back next year!

Peter Lynch

Kurt was followed by the arrival of Peter Lynch 3 days later. Peter, his wife Fran and son Pete hunted with us in 2009 and he booked again before he left camp in 2009. This time he shot a great kudu and added 7 species to his list off last year. Peter helped me at the Springfield Sportsmen Show. A big thanks Pete!!!!!! P.S It looks like Pete and 3 of his friends want to come and hunt again in May 2011. Great news!!!!! Looking forward to that.
